Segment 3: Villagers Help Build School

(Late afternoon; the school is still under construction; Baba is laying large sun-dried bricks that he has made; it is heavy work; Guru watches him from his wheelchair near the house. Entire scene is sung without dialogue.)

(BABA slips and falls with his heavy load)

GURU
(anxious during the silence, then begins singing after he sees Baba getting up)
